Motability Scheme Changes
In the November 2025 Budget, the UK Government announced changes to the Motability Scheme which has caused concern to Motability users.
The Scheme enables Disabled people, who receive the higher rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP), to use the mobility component of PIP, to lease a vehicle so they can get around safely and independently. Motability has answered a set of questions from customers to explain the changes and provide some reassurances.
