Join Disability Sheffield’s Board of Trustees!
Would you like to use some of your spare time to make a real difference to the lives of disabled people in Sheffield?
Disability Sheffield is entering a period of organisational change and renewal. This is a crucial time to bring new voices, skills, and perspectives to our Board of Trustees to help shape the future of the charity.
We are a Disabled People’s user-led organisation (DPULO), and registered charity, established by disabled people to empower disabled people to have an equal voice in all aspects of their lives.
Our services include:
- Advocacy Service (member of Sheffield Advocacy Hub)
- Sheffield Voices self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities and autism
- Specialist information service
- Disabled people’s cycling group
- Disabled people’s travel service
We also work closely with other user-led organisations and funders such as the NHS, Sheffield City Council, Sheffield University, and Sheffield Hallam University to promote disabled people’s rights.
