Information & Fact Sheets

Information

Information, it is often said, is power. Access to information has been identified by disabled people as one of the seven needs for independent living but knowing where to find accurate information to suit your individual requirements can be a problem. We provide information on any disability related topic.

Our disability information service is provided by staff and volunteers who have direct experience of disability themselves and we have been answering enquiries from disabled people for over ten years. We aim to provide the information you require using our own factsheets and carefully selected local and national information databases and resources. We will also tell you about those resources and where to find them if you need to use them again.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
