Everything you need to know about making choices and keeping safe – for you, your family, your friends and of course your PAs. Living and working well through the pandemic.

Four 1-hour online sessions run by friendly people who know their stuff.

Session 4. Thursday 14th July 2022
Everything you wanted to discuss about covid but were too afraid to ask – moving forward in the pandemic. Your chance to ask and talk about anything Covid. Going out safely? Using PPE? Wiping down shopping? Testing? Letting people in my house? What makes us anxious? Having difficult or awkward Covid conversations with PAs and families.

Each online session is run by the St Luke’s Project ECHO team (this a group of people who have training expertise in areas of healthcare) supported by friendly, approachable people within the NHS, Public Health, Local Authority and Disability Sheffield with expert knowledge about disabilityequality, Direct Payments and/or Covid-19 – it’s a team approach.

Friendly training with a warm welcome, designed with and for the Direct Payments community, to be empowered, stay in control and make choices. All Individual Employers receiving Direct Payments and anyone who supports Individual Employers are welcome. This event is for anybody who employs Personal Assistants and not only those who received Clinically (Extremely) Vulnerable letters or emails during lockdown.

To find out more please contact us at echo@hospicesheffield.co.uk. To join in, please complete the brief and easy form via the following link.

We really hope you’ll join us as we’ve heard so many stories about not only some of the challenges but also how resourceful and resilient people have been. We want to learn and share how we all can move forward to live and work well. We look forward to meeting you.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
