Call for Evidence for PIP Review
Last year the Government deferred any decision on changes to personal independence payment ( PIP ) until a committee had completed investigations including consultation with Disabled People.
As part of this process the Timms Review has opened a call for evidence asking “individuals and organisations with lived or learned experience, knowledge and expertise“ to share their experiences of PIP.
Leading charities and organisations are stating their views and preparing responses on behalf of their members. For example Disability Rights UK’s article explains why they support the Plan for a Decent Social Security System, produced by the Commission on Social Security – a group made up entirely of people with lived experience of the social security.
There are some useful general tips on how to get started and how to submit responses on the MS Society website.
Please note the call for evidence closes on 28 May 2026.
