Share Your Care Experiences In Video Case Studies

The independent regulator of health and social care in England, the Care Quality Commission is looking for people willing to be seen on screen talking about their experiences.

They have launched a year-long campaign highlighting the importance of sharing experiences of care and will give advice on why and how to raise concerns about care that people and their relatives have received. It will have a strong focus on those who received mental health support.

The campaign will encourage people to share their experiences of care – good or bad, as this information supports their monitoring, inspecting and rating of services.

Case studies of people’s experiences of care always play a vitally important part of their campaigns, so they are looking to recruit 3-5 people to take part in video case studies, with stories from a diverse range of people – including people working in health and social care settings.

The campaign aims to enable the voices of people who use services, their families and carers to improve understanding of the quality of care so people can make more informed choices.

If you have any questions or are interested in taking part, you can email them at engagementandinvolvement@cqc.org.uk

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
