ROFA Disabled People’s Manifesto 2019

ROFA Disabled People’s Manifesto 2019

Reclaiming Our Futures Alliance (ROFA) is an alliance of Disabled People and their user led organisations in England who have joined together to defend disabled people’s rights and campaign for an inclusive society. ROFA fights for equality for disabled people in England and works with sister organisations across the UK in the tradition of the international disability movement. Their work is based on the social model of disability and human and civil rights in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities .

ROFA is consulting members on their Disabled People’s Manifesto and Disabled People’s Demands for the First 100 days of the new Government. The deadline for responses is Thursday, 31st October 2019 if you would like to comment.

You can view their manifesto here and email any comments to info@rofa.org.uk .

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
