Making Patient and Public Involvement Better Together Workshop

Making Patient and Public Involvement Better Together Workshop

A pair of Sheffield organisations are getting together to host a workshop aimed at making patient and public involvement work better together.

Healthwatch Sheffield – which champions using the views and experiences of local people to make health, care and wellbeing better – has teamed up with the Sheffield Accountable Care Partnership to try and develop an improved approach to gathering and using people’s views to influence how health, care and wellbeing services are commissioned, designed and delivered.

The Sheffield ACP consists of the following seven partners:

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
Sheffield City Council
NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group
Primary Care Sheffield Ltd
Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Voluntary Action Sheffield

The partnership was formed in 2017 to enable organisations across Sheffield to work more closely together to bring about major changes in the way that health, care and wellbeing services are planned and delivered.

The workshop will bring together members of the public and health & care staff from across all sectors to develop an improved approach to patient and public involvement, which can be embedded across the health and social care system

It takes place on Wednesday 2nd October 2019 between 1pm – 4pm, at St Mary’s Church & Conference Centre, Bramall Lane, S2 4QZ

If you are a member of the public who is interested in taking part you can book a place by telephoning Healthwatch Sheffield on (0114) 253 6688, texting 0741 524 9657 or emailing info@healthwatchsheffield.co.uk

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
