Howard Rocks for Dementia

Howard Rocks for Dementia

A Sheffield man living with dementia is appearing on the air with a mixture of music and help with knowing your rights. Howard Gordon has secured slots on Deepness Dementia Radio, an internet station, based on the Isle of Harris. The station features shows by and with people living with dementia and was set up by Ron Coleman who is also living with Dementia with help from the Life Changes Trust and Weir Charitable Trust.

Howard is presenting a weekly two-hour rock show in support of World Rocks Against Dementia 2021 during May in addition to his regualr weekly Our Rights and Musical Memories shows.

You can also call up the station if you have Alexa by saying: “Alexa start Deepness Radio” and see the weekly schedule here.

If you would like to financially help the station please go to their donations page.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
