Hospitals Update Disabled Parking Information

Hospitals Update Disabled Parking Information

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals have updated their site maps and guides to indicate where all the disabled parking spaces are, in case there are any which patients are not aware of. This follows feedback from Disability Sheffield’s learning disability and autism self advocacy group, Sheffield Voices members about their lived experience of parking there . A meeting on this topic will take place later in the year.

There are separate guides for the Northern General Hospital and the Central Campus, which includes:

• The Royal Hallamshire Hospital
• Charles Clifford Dental Hospital
• Weston Park Cancer Centre
• Jessop Wing Maternity Hospital

The information can also be accessed on the Our Hospitals guide.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
