Hillsborough Park - All Wheeled Bike Park Survey

Hillsborough Park - All Wheeled Bike Park Survey

Sheffield City Council is working with Access Sport and Sheffield Hallam University on a new open access, off-road, community all wheeled bike park based in Hillsborough Park. The bike park will be designed for all types of wheeled sports and will be ideal for mountain bikes, scooters, balance bikes, BMXs, skateboards and in-line skates. The bike park will also be created to suit all abilities of riders, including disabled people, and from complete beginners learning to ride, through to experts.

The proposed bike park will also involve a sports development programme which will create a community cycling club supported by a local coaches, volunteers, young leaders and include equipment for use at the facility. A community outreach programme will aim to reach 1,000 people and kick start a lifelong love of cycling that leads to cycling for sport, recreation and travel.

You can give your views on the proposal and help Sheffield City Council to make the right decision by completing their survey . If you have any questions please contact Luke Wilson on Mobile 07795542858 or email luke.wilson@sheffield.gov.uk . The survey closes on Saturday 26 October.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
