Booster Vaccinations for Health and Care Staff

Booster Vaccinations for Health and Care Staff

The COVID-19 vaccination national booking service is now open for all frontline health and social care staff to book a booster vaccine appointment through self-referral. This includes Personal Care Assistants ( PAs ) employed by Individual Employers.

Health and Social Care Worker (HSCW) staff can book their appointment online or by ringing 119.

Please note that you can only book an appointment for a booster dose if it’s been at least 6 months (180 days) since your 2nd dose of the vaccine.

As part of the booking process, you will need to self-declare you are a frontline health or social care worker.

This requirements also applies to workers who are vaccinated via local booking services or walk-in clinics. You will need to take one of the follow ID proofs to your vaccination appointment:

· A workplace photo ID,

· A recent letter from your employer (last 3 months), or

· A recent payslip which shows your employer (last 3 months).

If you are a Personal Care Assistant and you need help or a proof of employment letter you can access a template from Sheffield City Council by contacting Disability Sheffield on 0114 2536750 emailing directpayments@disabilitysheffield.org.uk

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
