Autism Dialogue Conference 2018

Autism Dialogue, a service that aims to improve the quality of life for all autistic people and improve professional research and support networks, has announced their first annual conference.

The Autism Dialogue Conference 2018 will be held on 14th December, 9.30am – 5pm at the Quaker Meeting House, 10 Saint James’ Street, Sheffield, S1 2EW, view on Map and will bring together autistic people, autism researchers, practitioners, clinicians, families and supporters from around the UK.

The full day conference and workshop is a celebration and consolidation of eighteen months of practice by Autism Dialogue in this new field. View Autism Dialogue Flyer to read more about their work.

The event is a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from the organisers and researchers, hear first-hand experiences from a range of delegates and engage in a Dialogue.

The conference organisers will do their best to make the event as autism-friendly as possible, and will set aside a silent space. The venue has full wheelchair access, including a lift and accessible toilet. If you have any questions about the venue please contact Sheffield Quakers on 0114 275 7390. There will be no obligation to attend the dialogue workshop part of the event and no obligation to contribute at all on the day.

There will be a maximum of 80 attendees present. The cost for the full day conference is £25. Autism Dialogue currently have an offer of a free place funded by a sponsor. If you would really like to attend but would find the conference fee the main barrier, please contact Autism Dialogue outlining your circumstances in no more than 100 words. Equally, if you would like to sponsor a place or places, please contact Autism Dialogue. Successful applicants will be announced on 1st November.
