    Twice Weekly Coronavirus Testing for PAs

    The government has published updated guidance on how personal assistants ( PAs ) working in adult social care in England can access twice weekly Covid-19 testing. Personal assistants will be eligible for testing if they provide care that requires them to come within 2 metres of an adult over the age of 18 who they support.Personal assistants should order a box of 7 lateral flow tests (LFTs) every 21 days for themselves, or an employer can order test kits on their behalf and all test results must be registered.

    Testing for Coronavirus if you are Symptom Free

    Everyone in England without symptoms of Coroavirus is able to take a free rapid Coronavirus (COVID-19) test twice a week from 9 April.You can now order Coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid lateral flow tests online. Please do not use lateral flow tests if you have any Covid symptoms (a high temperature, a cough that won’t stop, or a loss/change in taste/smell) when you should self isolate and book a Coronavirus test or order a home test kit.

The Disability Union was set up at the end of last year by George Baker and Joel Jordan who share an urge to increase inclusion by getting people to work together and support each other.

    Caroline Waugh, a volunteer at Sheffield Cycling 4 All, a project run by Disability Sheffield, can be seen on the screen tonight when her trusty but rusty trike – which she used while carrying the Olympic Torch a decade ago – gets a makeover .Caroline is appearing on BBC2 show Saved And Remade, in which much-loved but unused objects are transformed into new items. Can’t wait to see what’s made for you Caroline!

    Sheffield NHS CCG has launched a campaign ahead of Ramadan to raise awareness that having the Covid vaccine does not break your fast.Local Muslim faith leaders, working in partnership with the CCG and Sheffield City Council, are spreading the message that getting vaccinated while fasting is allowed in Islam.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
