    Honouring Transgender Lives

    November 20th marks the 25th Transgender Day of Remembrance. It honours the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Research shows that transgender people reported higher rates of disability (30 percent) compared with *cisgender women (24 percent) or *cisgender men (18 percent). Statistics around their healthcare are very troubling.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
