£12.40 an Hour for a Shower tells the story of Disabled people in Hammersmith and Fulham who, starting in 2006, resisted attempts by the local council to introduce charges for essential home care support. What followed was eight years of sustained, grassroots campaigning led by Disabled people themselves,  leading to a successful outcome.
