Advocacy Services - Request Advocacy
Accessing Advocacy Support
As a key part of the Sheffield Advocacy Hub, we provide a free, confidential, and independent advocacy service dedicated to helping disabled people in Sheffield secure the health and social care services they need. Advocacy is about getting support to express your views, stand up for your rights, and ensure your wishes are heard. If you are struggling to participate in decisions about your care or need help navigating complex service processes, please use the channels below to submit a request for an advocate who can support you through the process.

Request Advocacy - Allocating an Advocate
Allocating an Advocate
Once we have accepted your referral there will be a wait before we can allocate an advocate as we have a waiting list. If there is a reason that you need advocacy urgently then please let us know.
Once an advocate has been allocated, they will contact you and make an appointment. We will contact you by phone, or video call. If it is not possible to make a phone or online appointment, we will try and visit you at home. Your advocate will work 1-1 with you on the issue that you have and will finish working with you once that piece of work comes to an end.
