VCF Forum Continuing Healthcare Event

This September Healthwatch Sheffield’s Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector Health & Wellbeing Forum will focus on people’s experiences of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessment and how, with Sheffield CCG and the local authority, the process for service users and their families/carers can be improved.

For this forum Healthwatch Sheffield are partnering with Sheffield CCG and Disability Sheffield to provide an opportunity for constructive discussion for colleagues in the sector who support people who are affected by CHC assessments.

The Forum will be hosted by Judy Robinson, Chair of Healthwatch Sheffield’s Strategic Advisory Board and the two speakers are Paul Higginbottom, Senior Programme Manager Ongoing Care, NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group and Lucy Davies, Advocacy Manager at Disability Sheffield .

The VCF Forum takes place on Tuesday 11th September at 10am – 12 noon. Spaces are limited so please book your place in advance.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
