Sheffield’s Response to the Refugee Crisis

A public meeting was held at Sheffield University, Firth Hall, S10 2TN on Saturday 19 September with information stalls about the different volunteering opportunities to support refugees and asylum seekers. Tents, sleeping bags and winter clothing are urgently needed for vulnerable people stranded in refugee camps in France and can be donated at:-

  • Sheffield Town Hall, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Theatre Delicatessen on The Moor (opposite Debenhams), Thursday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm
  • Louise Haigh MP’s office, 63 Chesterfield Rd, S8 ORL, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Harry Harpham MP’s office at Shirecliffe Community Centre, 349 Shirecliffe Road, S5 8XJ, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm. When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
