Healthwatch Sheffield Home Care Project

Healthwatch Sheffield are looking into the quality of home care in Sheffield, aiming to highlight good practice and make recommendations for improvement to those responsible for commissioning and delivering home care services in Sheffield. They are working with a number of organisations including the Stroke Association, Sheffield Mind, Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK, Disability Sheffield and Sheffield Carers Centre.

As part of this work Healthwatch Sheffield will be holding a series of discussions in partnership with local organisations with people who have lived experience of home care – service users, their family, friends and unpaid carers. View Home Care Project Summary .

This includes a general focus group for any service users or carers, who have experienced home care in the last year on 5 March from 2-4pm at The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield S1 4FW. View Poster and Healthwatch Sheffield Website.

Alternatively Healthwatch Sheffield can arrange to have a chat with you about your experiences over the phone between Monday 12th February and Friday 2nd March. Contact Healthwatch Sheffield on 0114 253 66 88, Text 0741 524 9657 or email info@healthwatchsheffield.co.uk

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
