Clinical Commissioning Group - Giving Voice to Seldom Heard Groups

South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation has been commissioned by the Clinical Commissioning Group to give a voice to seldom heard groups across South Yorkshire regarding five NHS provisions:
- Urgent care
- Maternity
- Unwell Children
- Strokes
- Gastroenterology

Your views and opinion can be expressed in a number of ways:

  • Through one of our pre-arranged focus groups in Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.

Sheffield dates as follows:

November 9th 10am – 11.30am
Venue: South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, Unit 9 -12 Riverside Works, 800 Brightside Lane, S9 2RX

November 14th 10am – 11.30am
Venue: South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, Unit 9 -12 Riverside Works, 800 Brightside Lane, S9 2RX

  • Through 1:1 or group interviews in person or over the phone – please call us to arrange on 0114 261 5144

We are particularly interested to hear from groups who may experience barriers to accessing services or who are underrepresented in healthcare decision making such as: BAME communities, migrants, LGBT and asylum seekers, young people, young carers, young mothers, as well as the elderly and people with mental and physical health issues.

Any questions relating to the survey and/or its distribution please contact Sonia Bielaszewska on 0114 261 5144 or mail SoniaB@sycf.org

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
