Call For New Members of Health Advisory Group

Healthwatch Sheffield is setting up a new strategic advisory group and is looking for volunteers.

The group wants members who are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of all the city’s citizens and will act as a positive ambassador for Healthwatch Sheffield, representing its interests with partners and members of the public.

They welcome applications from people who identify or have worked with communities whose voices are not always heard. This includes disabled people, especially if you have experience of health and/or social care as a service user or carer.

The time and commitment required to carry out the responsibilities of the role is around 1-2 days per month and the closing date for applications is 20th May 2018.

If you would like an informal chat about the role, or to request an application pack, please contact Healthwatch Sheffield by telephoning 0114 253 668 , texting 0741 524 9657 or emailing info@healthwatchsheffield.co.uk

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
