Assisted Refuse Collection Consultation

The assisted collection service is provided to households where, due to an age related or medical reason there is no one able to put the waste and recycling bins out for collection. Under the service, the refuse teams will collect and then return the waste or recycling containers to their point of storage. Changes to the application process have been proposed to help make the process fairer and easier to understand, and the consultation, plus more background information can be found here . The consultation runs until 23rd October.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
